Joe Biden, DOPE

In a recent televised interview on "Good Morning America," Joe Biden gleefully commented that paying higher taxes is "patriotic." His full remarks addressed the plan for "wealthy" Americans to pay more in taxes under Obama. The full quote is as follows, "It's time to be patriotic . . . time to jump in, time to be part of the deal, time to help get America out of the rut." I sat and watched, mouth agape, horrified and disgusted. It's sickening and frightening to think that people in the federal government, who have real power over us, think this way at their core. Biden has always been a little "out there" and this is truly off the chain. He had the classic sh*t-eating grin on his face during the entire statement, and leaned towards the interviewer to really make the point. After calming down, I decided to run with the premise a little and send up his idea. Instead of being called the Internal Revenue Service, I think Senator Biden should introduce legislation to change its name to the Department of Patriotism Enforcement. He could then be the head guy at DOPE . . . the prime DOPE, or better yet, the DOPE-in-chief. Now there's a job for which he truly does have unimpeachable credentials.
